Lucy and Tyler envisioned an elegant garden party for their wedding day. A day filled with whimsy and charm and so many flowers; the perfect theme for a couple marrying in the spring. The couple decided on Early Mountain Vineyard located in Madison, Virginia as their venue and the backdrop for their vision to come to life. Early Mountain is romantic, organically beautiful with a naturally enchanting atmosphere, the perfect spot for Lucy and Tyler to begin their life together. With the help of their visionary team, Lucy and Tyler’s dream wedding came to life. We are so happy to share this beautiful wedding with you.

The Couple

Lucy and Tyler met on Hinge in the winter of 2021, they connected over a cooking channel…and from that point on it was a recipe for success. The couple enjoys cooking good food together and watching movies. They also enjoy being outside and soaking up all that nature has to offer. Whether they are hiking, exercising their culinary expertise or binge watching their favorite shows, they are open for anything as long as they are together.

While in Italy in the spring of 2023, Tyler brought Lucy to a beautiful garden where he got down on one knee asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. A beautiful moment in front of his family, one that will never be forgotten. Carrying this beautiful engagement spot into their wedding vision is both sweet and sentimental.

The Wedding

A spring wedding in the Virginian countryside at the foothills of the mountains… the ideal setting to tie the knot. Early Mountain Vineyards attracted both Lucy and Tyler because of its breathtaking scenery. The natural elements are carried through into the main reception room and tasting room, making it an easy choice for their garden theme. Lucy chose champagne and blush for her colors and from there, magic was made. The venue was transformed into an immaculate and enchanting scene for this beautiful couple to say “I do”. Overflowing with flowers and gilded accents, it began with a vision board and came to life right in front of their eyes.

Making it Their Own: The Personal Touches

Lucy and Tyler shared their love with their family and friends on the most special day of their lives thus far. We love when a couple takes it upon themselves to make the wedding day their own; sharing traditions, cultures and passions with their guests. Lucy embraced her culture through Ghanaian music during the reception, “my aunties enjoyed it and were up out of their seats dancing the night away” Lucy remembers fondly. Lucy also showed off her love for fashion by wearing not one but THREE dresses throughout the evening! She began her day with her ceremony gown, changed into a different dress for her first dance and then ended the night in her reception dress…perfect for dancing the night away. Another cool feature…her bridesmaids also changed their dresses after the ceremony. This was definitely a unique touch that we LOVED so much. Another element that took many by surprise was their last private dance together before the night ended. We loved how this couple came back together at the end of the night to solidify the reason we were all there…their endless love.

Their Advice

Anyone that has planned a wedding or is currently planning one knows the journey can be grueling. Tyler says it perfectly, “enjoy the ride, it’s a long one, but so worth it.” We couldn’t agree more. As much as the planning journey can take a toll on you, the end result is always worth it. We were so honored to work with this lovely couple.
