THE GRAND FINALE

A winter wedding can evoke magical and dreamy images; the snowy backdrop, the crackling fireplace, the fresh dusting of snow on your hair.  But with all the beauty that winter brings it also brings quite a chill!!!  Being a winter bride can be a challenge when it comes to finding the perfect gown, that also keeps the cold away!  Read on for some winter wedding style tips that will help you fall in love with the notion of frosty nuptials

Faux Fur

Fur is the perfect way to add some texture to your wedding style, not to mention some warmth!   Stay cozy and comfy with some fur accenting your beautiful dress. A fur shawl, bolero or any other fur focused accents can boost your gown’s warmth factor.  Another plus to fur…sleeveless or off the shoulder dresses can still be an option!

Long Sleeves

Sheer and billowy, lace or velvet…the long sleeved wedding dress can be a standout look for a winter wedding. A long sleeved wedding dress can offer a sleek style that will keep you looking chic and feeling cozy and warm all day long. A long sleeve dress is made for blustery days and fits perfectly into a snowy wedding setting.

Winter Ball Gowns

A winter wedding does not necessarily mean you have to go for a long sleeved dress.  A stunning strapless ball gown accompanied with a caplet is the perfect way to capture the wintry vibe without giving up the style of dress you desire.  Of course long sleeved ball gowns are also available…and could anything be more regal?

Coat Dress

If you are searching for an original look,  this is certainly a style that will get your guest’s attention.  A coat dress paired with white pants underneath is modern, sleek and bold.  While this style gives the illusion of a long sleeved dress at first glance, it is a much more contemporary and adventurous look.

Velvet

Nothing says winter like velvet.  A rich velvet dress feels right at home in the snow.  We can promise that you will not see velvet wedding gowns any other time of the year, so if you want to make a breathtaking statement, velvet is the way to make your guests swoon.

Our Favorite Winter Fabrics

One thing is for sure,  you do not have to worry about overheating, beating the sun and warm climates during a winter wedding.  Yes it is cold, but the chill allows for so many fabrics that otherwise may not be considered in any other season.  Velvet for starters, but also tulle, wool, various embroidery textures, lace, faux fur and  heavy crepe. We love the idea of being able to mix textures and layers for outdoor pictures vs. indoor pictures. Your look can also adapt through the night based on the chill factor!

A winter wedding deserves eye-catching details.  Lucky for you,  winter wedding dresses are traditionally sophisticated and glamorous.  Where else can you rock long sleeves, high necks, heavy fabrics and cozy accessories. We think a wintery backdrop is the perfect setting for a dream wedding; with the bride as the star of the show, we know these winter wedding dresses will be the stand out element to your seasonal style.
