So it’s been 4 years… let me repeat… 4 YEARS since it all began. Even though I started planning events years and years ago in my NYC days, Anyvent’s official birthday is February 14th, 2014. It’s no mistake that I chose this day as
its official beginning. As corny as it sounds, love and passion are the feelings that are associated with Valentine’s Day, and those are the cornerstones of Anyvent. I truly love what I do and approach everything with passion. In fact, I often tell my clients that the moment that I stop loving what I do, I’ll stop doing it. How can you be successful at celebrating the love of others, if you aren’t passionate about and in love with this job. And what’s not to love? I get to be with people on one of the happiest days of their lives… and I don’t think that will get old anytime soon.
After years in the game, I’m always looking for ways to make my business better
and get the word out there about what exactly it is that we do. So… what better time to post my first official blog entry than on our anniversary? I couldn’t think of a better way to start than with one of my beautiful couples!
Let’s set the scene… It was a beautiful September day at Hermitage Hill Farm & Stables when Carrie and Tarik tied the knot. Not only was the magic created by the farm’s beautiful scenery, but also the less details that made themselves known from the moment each guest arrived, until the very last moments of the event. From the unique and sometimes hilarious “carrot cocktail hour” during which guests got up close and personal with a few of the resident horses, to the Pittsburgh Cookie tradition (which was definitely a first for us), this wedding was the stuff that dreams are made of. Did we mention the roses made out of the pages of Harry Potter? This amazing couple was sure to put their signature stamp on everything so that guests were given a front row seat to their romance and what made them, “them”. If their lives together after tying the knot had a fraction of the love that filled the room that evening on the farm, they will truly never run out of it. When all is said and done, isn’t that what weddings are all about? Celebrating the reasons why your love is so unique in front of the most important people in your lives should be the goal of every wedding celebration. It truly made this wedding one for the books!
